Ah moving and sorting can feel like a chore. I get it. But then: to have stuff you need for your work — and the space? How fantastic.

I GET to go to work early so I can get off early to go to a 2 hour workshop after work, which including my commute will round it off for a 14 hour day.
I GET to hear about Mindfulness 🙂

caregiving. I got to listen to “Criminal” podcast.

I ‘get’ to try to learn new ways of looking at gratitude here with all of you. And so many get tos are crammed in my head wanting out that I don’t even know where to start. I get to test my mental and physical strength as my 65 year old husband fails more every day with a vascular disease which had no beginning and has no cure. I get to look at raw fear and helplessness. I get to pretend that I’m not seething with anger at my family that voted the head of that monster into office. I also get to live in a beautiful place with my adorable furbaby, Marlee. And I am truly so grateful for her. She calms me so that I can look at gratitude.

Angie! So much here. I’m touched that you took the time to respond here in a way so marked by vulnerability. Thank you.

Ah man, Dee, I took deep breaths and tried to talk myself out of posting it…even went back a couple of times to erase it, but decided I just really needed to share here, and seriously? To try the ‘crabwise’ gratitde.😊 I never, and I mean NEVER, share this stuff in comments anywhere, nor my deep revulsion for where our country is st now. Thank you for allowing me to feel safe enough to open up some here.💖

Been there. Sometimes I do take those things down. Sometimes not. I’m glad you left this up, tho, it makes me know you a little better. Stirs compassion.

Angie, I am so sorry for your situation. I tried to comment on your blog, but Google prevented me. I have been struggling with ANCA vasculitis for over a year, which is closely related to your husband’s diagnosis, including aneurysm, although mine is small and stable. I am improving now but it was awful. Please accept my deepest commiseration and know that I will be thinking of you and Randy in the months ahead.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m so sorry that you are dealing with this too, but I’m so happy that your aneurysm is small and stable. I’m really sorry you weren’t able to comment on my blog.

Thanks Dana. I read your patio post but didn’t have time to comment. I am sorry to hear about your health issues and hope the “stable” part of your description holds.
